Out loud even. About 10 times!
Installed 5 printers for a very needy client....hopefully they are done with me for a little while.
I still have to ask the question though. I drove to Minneapolis yesterday, 260 miles. (gas 2.75$)
The lab I work for is in Minneapolis. The client is in Minneapolis... Why am I driving, Spending the night in a hotel, paying for food, and then installing 5 printers in the clients office? Wouldn't it be better to have someone from the lab do this? (Just posing the questions)
SO why do I ask all these questions? At the beginning of the year, the lab manager asked me to try to cut costs by staying in cheaper hotels......HMMMMMM How about NOT! I stay away from my family 2-3 nights a week. I think I deserve to stay in classy hotels where I earn points! (lots of points)
So now I post the first question again......makes you go hummmmm!
Now back to life... I went to bed last night at 11:00. Awoke bright and wide awake at 4:30am!
WHAT!!!
At 6:00 after trying to go back to sleep numerous times, I got up, went to the gym and had a work out!
Good times. Food was on spot today. (motivation from the ladies-Jules and Tasha)
Two weeks left and all is going to end on a great note!
Now, Off to read another chapter in HBS!
I am missing a piece on yr work obviously. Yr ? sounds reasonable 2 me. Amazing how "giving yourself the talk" works. We really do chose our mood and attitude. Your progress sounds terrific. Great job on compliance.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need to start thinking about a career change Todd - doing a drive like that to do a job local to your lab's HO is insane! Good job on the food side - I'm going through a nutritional crisis at the moment, so it's good to see that someone is at least managing to be disciplined.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tom, have you explored other options? I know you've been trying to change your attitude about work for awhile now, how about changing your job instead? I know it's not that easy, but sometimes if you make a clear decision and take steps towards it, the Universe complies and helps you out. Hmmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteCheaper hotels? Soon they'll want you to sleep in the vehicle...I've been there with employers like that - that is why I am no longer an employee. Keep looking, but don't do anything rash.
