NO Turkeys

Spent a day in the field and had a great time. Windy here, made for quiet turkeys....they must not like it?!?

We saw 5-6 real nice Toms in full strut (puffed out acting manly)

We just couldn't get close enough to them. We actually got there late so it was our own fault. Next weekend will be different. We will get there early (before light)

Brice (my oldest) had fun though. which is the reason we do it!

As for everything else. Food went out the window yesterday as well as the work out.

My work out today is going to consist of planting hostas around the yard.

Food will be on track though which is 80% of the battle for me!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Spend some time with your family!

Todd

  1. We used to have 30 of them at a time come strolling through our back yard in PA. The cats didn't know what to do.

Food on track - I'm back on track after my wedding anniversary dinner last night. Right back to eating healthy.

    Have a fantastic spring weekend.

  2. Wow popular date for WA. Too bad about the shoot but as u say it the event itself. Great that you spend this type of time with your son.
According to Leigh Peele food is 100% and I agree. Like you its my big struggle. One day is fine as long as you are back on track the next.
    Glad u had fun!

  3. Seriously - next time try a boomerang :)
Food - it's 99% of the battle with me....I even dream about cheesecake!

To answer your question about the legs. When my legs go during a run, I use the 'beer as reward' method to keep going. A second wind usually manifests itself at some point. Not sure how this is going to work when I hit 30Km in a couple of weeks - I'll probably have a case of beers to drink as a reward when I get back :)

  4. Sounds like you had fun even though you didn't get a turkey.

Food is 99% the issue for me. I can do the workouts, but eating...ah...I could eat all day long.
